About the Park Chasers

Started in 2015, ParkChasers.com has one mission: To help you make the most out of your visit to any one of the 400+ sites in the National Park System.

  • What should I plan to see?
  • How do I find the best campsites?
  • What’s the best park to go hiking?
  • Should I camp or stay in a gateway town?
  • What do I pack to make the most of the trip?”

These are the types of questions we had when we first started traveling and the questions we wanted to share answers to here at Park Chasers.

We know that planning trips to national park sites can be challenging, especially the larger ones. We’ve got firsthand experience with Yellowstone in wintertime, navigating Yosemite valley, and watching the nighttime glow of Kilauea at Hawaii Volcanoes. We’ve also been lost, wet, tired, and otherwise kicked in the face while visiting our nation’s most treasured places.

Building the Park Chasers community was the vision of Amy and Greg Sippl, two thirty-something travelers chasing the goal of visiting all 423 units in the National Park System. We fell in love with the national parks in 2010 on a hike to Grinnell Glacier in Glacier National Park.

From our base camp in St. Paul, Minnesota we have visited more than 100 units in the park service system and dozens of affiliated sites. We have plans to add more every year. To find out which parks we’ve visited check out:

Mostly this site was born because we love to share stories about the places that make our parks the best in the world. We’d love to hear your own story in the comments area of our pages or leave us a message on our Facebook page.

Happy Chasing,

Greg & Amy
