2017 National Public Lands Day

On Saturday September 30th outdoors enthusiasts around the country will be celebrating 2017 National Public Lands Day.  Founded in 1994, it’s the largest volunteer event dedicated to public lands.  The National Park Service dedicates the day to volunteer projects and celebrating our public spaces.

For the 2017 National Public Lands Day, the National Park Service will also be having a fee-free entrance day. All park units that typically charge an entrance fee will waive that fee for visitors and volunteers.
