The Best National Park Children’s Books

It’s mid-August which can only mean one thing for families: back-to-school is on the brain! Whether your family is heading towards in-person, virtual, homeschool, road schooling, or some other combination, we know it’s a busy season. But it doesn’t have to be a season without the national parks. That’s why we’re sharing our annual List of Best National Park Children’s Books.

For the past few years, we’ve assembled the best books on the market to help your Junior Rangers stay connected with the parks even as the summer travel season comes to an end.  We think every time a national park children’s book shows up in a backpack, we’re helping the next generation learn about and value our public lands.  There are more than 50 books on our list this year from a wide range of authors, illustrators, and national park lovers alike.

We hope this list helps you and your family continue to build some national park memories this year!
