2017 Free Admission Days in National Parks

The National Park Service has announced popular “free admission days” in national parks will continue in 2017.

Millions of Americans mark their calendars for these events. So should you. Free admission days give Park Chasers the chance to enjoy the one of the more than 110 national park units that charge an entrance fee. That’s why we’re bringing you the full list today so you don’t miss any of the 10 days this year!

2017 Free Admission Days in National Parks

For 2017, the entrance fee-free days are:

Date Celebration
January 18 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
February 20 President’s Day
April 15-16 and 22-23 Weekends of National Park Week
August 25 National Park Service Birthday
September 30 National Public Lands Day
November 11-12 Veteran’s Day Weekend

Every Kid in a Park Program Continues in 2017

In addition to the fee-free days, the National Park Service is also continuing a program to offer free admission in national parks through the “Every Kid in a Park” program.  In partnership with the National Park Foundation, 4th graders nationwide can apply for a free pass for themselves and their families to every national park service unit. 4th grade teachers can also apply for a special pass to take their students to a park.

All this means it’s time to start planning how you’ll #findyourpark this year!
